A quiet tribute to a life deeply loved 🤍
This 5" x 7" art print postcard honors Jackie, my family's beloved farm dog of 16 years. She was gentle, loyal, and woven into the rhythm of our everyday life whether she was out in the fields with my dad or happily chewing kernels off her very own ear of corn, holding it between her paws like a little person. She had a way of making the simplest moments feel special.
In this illustration, Jackie sits with her corn cob, while our family cat, Peanut, looks up at her lovingly. It felt only right to include her as she never stopped trying to be Jackie’s friend.
The phrase “trust the seeds you are planting” carries a double meaning, rooted in the fields Jackie loved so much, and in the gentle reminder that the care, love, and effort we put into life will grow into something meaningful in time.
10% of proceeds of this illustration will be donated quarterly to our local animal shelter in Lafayette, Indiana, Almost Home Humane Society.
