Intro to Screenprinting: A Hands-On, Small-Group Workshop

I'm so glad I was able to get a spot in this class! I really knew nothing about screen printing before this class, but now I appreciate the process and effort that goes into every screen printed item, especially when it's done by hand! Jess was an awesome teacher and made the class fun, interesting, and approachable! The way the ink goes through the screen and "appears" on shirts still seems like magic to me. I also had fun meeting others in the class and hearing what brought them to the class, whether it was interest in graphic design, art, or just trying something new. I highly recommend this class and looooove my screen printed items! Thank you Jess!!

The workshop was a great introduction to such a hands-on and involved medium. Jess was an awesome teacher and made sure we all left with a solid understanding of the art and process. It was a great afternoon spent in a creative space!

This was such a fun class! Jess is a great teacher and went through the whole screen-printing process with us and then let us give it a try. I left with 2 shirts with her amazing design that I printed myself (well mostly myself). I highly recommend this workshop as a way to learn a new fun skill and support a super talented local artist!

When an artist invites you into their home and gives you a peek into their process, the simple answer is say "yes!". You truly won't be disappointed with what you learn, the appreciation for the artistic process, and the community of people you get to learn alongside. And Jess created that environment for the Workshop she taught. It was an experience in creativity, a little science, some precision, and fun making some beautiful prints with other gifted people from the community. So if you're considering attending one of the workshops with Jess, say "yes!". You will be glad you took the time to learn something new.

I love this class so much! Jess made us all feel so warm and welcomed in her home. She is extremely knowledgeable and patient. I’ve been stuck in a creative rut and this was a lovely way to create some art and meet new people!
